Melanie Doane performing at the Fight The Bite benefit concert, which was raising money to buy nets to help prevent the spread of malaria in Africa (over 3,000,000 children die each year). I was lucky enough to meet Mel before the show; she's an extremely nice lady who, to my surprise, took the time to chat and sign her 5 CDs for me. Melanie has a new CD being released July 01, 2008 (can't wait!) and she will be performing in Toronto on July 05, 2008. If you ever get a chance to see Melanie perform, I highly recommend you take it!
