Lawrencetown Beach, Nova Scotia
Lawrencetown Beach is a south-facing sand beach about a half hour from Halifax, frequented
by local and international surfers.
It is a provincial park and was one of the first beaches supervised by the Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service.
Lawrencetown Beach hosts a variety of events, including surfing contests, a kite festival and a duathlon.
This painting is from a personal photo taken in 1981, showing MacDonald House Community Hall on the hill.
