I had a number rides on this boat as a child, as my grandmother knew the man who owned the boat and took me for rides sometimes when I visited her. Seascape Lawrencetown Beach, Nova Scotia Lawrencetown Beach is a south-facing sand beach about a half hour from Halifax, frequented by local and international surfers. It is a provincial park and was one of the first beaches supervised by the Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service. Lawrencetown Beach hosts a variety of events, including surfing contests, a kite festival and a duathlon.
