H.M.C.S. Haida Replica, Perth, ON

This replica of the H.M.C.S Haida had its home in Perth, ON. It was constructed with seating and was used for boat rides on the Tay River, Perth for a number of years. I had a number rides on this boat as a child, as my grandmother knew the man who owned the boat and took me for rides sometimes when I visited her.

Lawrencetown Beach, Nova Scotia

Lawrencetown Beach is a south-facing sand beach about a half hour from Halifax, frequented by local and international surfers.

It is a provincial park and was one of the first beaches supervised by the Nova Scotia Lifeguard Service.

Lawrencetown Beach hosts a variety of events, including surfing contests, a kite festival and a duathlon.

This painting is from a personal photo taken in 1981, showing MacDonald House Community Hall on the hill.

My Lost Chord
