Black Swallowtail Butterfly Emerges
This painting of a black swallowtail butterfly is from a photo of the butterfly taken within hours
of emerging from its chrysalis. This chrysalis spent the entire winter in a terrarium
in my daughter's room. Her diligence and care was rewarded by this fantastic display of nature.
