Black Swallowtail Butterfly Emerges
This painting of a black swallowtail butterfly is from a photo of the butterfly taken within hours
of emerging from its chrysalis. This chrysalis spent the entire winter in a terrarium
in my daughter's room. Her diligence and care was rewarded by this fantastic display of nature.

H.M.C.S. Haida Replica, Perth, ON
This replica of the H.M.C.S Haida had its home in Perth, ON. It was constructed with seating
and was used for boat rides on the Tay River, Perth for a number of years. I had a number rides
on this boat as a child, as my grandmother knew the man who owned the boat and took me for rides
sometimes when I visited her.

Two different views of the Ottawa Exhibition (late 1980s). The view with people ("The People View")
is the midway just prior to opening for the day. Boxes of prizes in front of one of the game booths,
loading up for more fun. The ground swept and clear. The other view ("The Carney View") is
of the lane behind the game booths on the right. Garbage and empty boxes strewn across the ground,
clothes hanging on truck mirrors, trailers and a general disorganized state.
